Dr. Divilbiss was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned his degree and also played football under Coach Bill Snyder. He earned his degree in medicine from the University of Kansas before moving to Greenwood, South Carolina, where he completed a residency in family medicine and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine.

Dr. Divilbiss joined Hays Orthopedic Institute in 2009. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. His particular interests include management of chest pain in athletes, overuse injuries, concussions, and acute sports injuries.

He and his family are grateful for the chance to return closer to home and serve the people of Hays and the surrounding area. He is married with two young children and enjoys spending time with them when not seeing patients, as well as traveling and following the K-State Wildcats athletic teams.
