Dr. Ahad Haleem joined Hays Orthopedic Institute in 2004 after completing two years of fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. This training included an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship specializing the treatment of musculoskeletal tumors.
Prior to his Mayo Clinic experience, Dr. Haleem graduated with honors from the orthopedic surgery residency and medical school at The Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan.
Dr. Haleem has received numerous awards for his academic accomplishments. His research in joint replacement surgery has been recognized by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He received the Academy’s Ranawat award in 2004 – a prestigious honor given to a resident or fellow in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of orthopedic research.
He has performed volunteer work for international disaster relief and helped organize programs to provide medical care to the underprivileged.
He is a member of the Kansas Medical Society. He holds active medical staff privileges at Hays Medical Center and serves as a consulting specialist to many communities throughout Kansas. His experience and frequent consultations with colleagues at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota continue to benefit patients and physicians of Western Kansas.
When away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, riding horses, and cross-country running.
