Dr. Vivek Sharma earned his medical degree from the University of Mumbai in India. His extensive training in orthopedics began with an orthopedic surgery residency in Mumbai. He then completed advanced fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at the B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai.
He holds four additional fellowships in:
- Orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy at Children’s Hospital Boston
- Pediatric orthopedics and spine surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
- Joint reconstruction and tumor reconstruction from Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minnesota
- Orthopedic spine surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
While training in Boston, Dr. Sharma served as an orthopedic physician for the Boston Ballet, the Boston Marathon, and collegiate games.
Dr. Sharma has lectured and published numerous research-based articles on the spine, pediatrics, and joint reconstruction.
Dr. Sharma joined Hays Orthopedic Institute in 2009.
